San Rafael - Datatech EDI Systems of San Rafael has developed Telepay Express, a new software package that enables a company to feed banking data electronically into its in-house accounting application and conduct transactions directly with its bank.

The initial release of Telepay Express links Bank of America's Business Connection Service [1] and Computer Associates's ACCPAC Plus accounts payable systems. Future releases will include additional banks and PC-based accounting packages.

According to Datatech president Sigrid Marmann, the software allows a company to make a variety of transactions directly with its bank, such as electronic payments to vendors, funds transfers between accounts, stop payments, and other inquiries. Using multilevel passwords for security, Telepay Express provides a full audit trail for data integrity and review of transactions, and it generates reports such as bank statements and cash flow analysis.

The latest release of Telepay Express also supports Bank of Montreal and Westpac Bank. More banks will be supported in the future.
